How It Works

First Visit & Naturopathic Consultation

During the first visit, we will discuss your health concerns and medical history. A good history leads to a good diagnosis, and a thorough history leads to holistic care. This is where we learn about each other and set goals. Expect to be asked about sleep, diet, digestion, stress and other aspects of your lifestyle over the course of 90 minutes. During your first visit, you may or may not receive treatment recommendations. It is important for me to check for any drug interactions, allergens, and review current research publications from the most relevant medical publications.

I also offer fifteen minute Meet & Greet sessions to potential patients at no cost. This is an opportunity to see if we are a good fit.

Following Up

On your second visit, we will go through a treatment plan. This may include supplements, herbs, dietary changes, acupuncture, cupping and possibly referrals. I will provide you with information surrounding any medical concerns, and there may be some physical examinations.
After your second visit, a plan will be in place and follow-ups will be scheduled for checking in, tracking progress, and supporting or altering the plan as needed. Follow-up appointments are typically 45 minutes, with an option for shorter consults in between visits.

Acupuncture & Cupping

Acupuncture and cupping are Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques used to guide energy (or Qi) through your meridians of your body to increase blood circulation and remove obstructions. First time patients must book an initial visit in order to make an accurate assessment and treatment plan.
Cupping is primarily used for muscle pain and relaxation. Acupuncture can help with a variety of symptoms and conditions including:

  • Muscle Tension
  • Chronic Pain
  • Fertility
  • Menstrual Concerns
  • Hot Flashes
  • Digestive Concerns
  • Skin Conditions
  • Headaches and Migraines
  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Insomnia

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is a non-surgical, non-toxic, anti-aging skincare treatment. This treatment promotes a more youthful, radiant appearance by increasing the quality and tone of the skin. Using small, fine needles to the skin and facial muscles, acupuncture increases facial muscle tone, increases lymph and blood circulation, and encourages collagen production by stimulating the body’s healing response. The results are more vibrant skin, decreased lines and wrinkles, and a healthy glow.

On the first visit I will perform a comprehensive history intake in order to assess your skin and overall health. Treating the skin involves treating the body, therefore herbs, supplements, diet and lifestyle recommendations may be discussed.

Treatments are a relaxing experience, including a face massage and post-acupuncture facial care. The treatment is focused on the face, but the hands, legs and feet will also be needled. For optimal results I recommend starting with 2 treatments per week for 4 to 5 weeks, following with monthly maintenance treatments.
